Georgina Animal Shelter and Adoption Centre
Your Partner in Compassionate Care
The Georgina Animal Shelter and Adoption Centre is dedicated to providing urgent care and a safe haven for stray dogs and cats across Georgina, Newmarket, Aurora, and East Gwillimbury. We believe every animal deserves a loving environment, and we work tirelessly to ensure each pet in our care is treated with compassion and respect.
Serving Our Community
As a vital resource for our community, we bridge the gap for stray, abandoned, and homeless animals needing a fresh start. We strive to reunite lost pets with their families while offering support and alternatives to keep pets in their homes whenever possible.
How We Provide Care
Our operations blend a dedicated, on-site shelter environment with a compassionate foster network. Foster families provide temporary homes for pets that require extra support, such as nursing litters, senior animals, or those with special medical needs, ensuring they receive individualized attention before finding their permanent families.
Finding Your New Best Friend
Adoption is a lifelong, joyful commitment, and our priority is creating lasting, compatible partnerships between pets and adopters. We facilitate thoughtful meetings to ensure every match is built for success, and our inclusive adoption process includes essential veterinary care, microchipping, and support to help you feel confident in your decision.
