Paws Above Rescue
A Passion for Second Chances
Paws Above is a dedicated rescue organization committed to helping homeless dogs find their perfect, loving homes. We combine our passion for canine welfare with over two decades of professional training experience to give every dog the best possible start in their new life.
Our Roots in King City
Founded by Ola Gentle, our rescue began as an extension of the successful training and boarding business we have operated on our 100-acre farm in King City for over a decade. We recognized a deep community need to support homeless dogs and have since channeled our expertise into creating a compassionate bridge to adoption.
How We Help
We operate as a small, foster-based Registered Canadian Charity (#735524712RR0001) that specializes in taking in dogs with behavioral and medical challenges. Whether rescuing locally from shelters or helping dogs from abroad, we work tirelessly to address their unique needs while providing a stable, loving environment.
The Joy of Finding Your Match
We believe that successful adoptions are built on thoughtful, careful matching. By getting to know each dog's personality, temperament, and health history, we ensure that every adoption creates a joyful, lifelong partnership. Our dedicated team manages the entire process—including applications, home visits, and reference checks—to ensure our rescues find families that truly understand their needs.
