Paws Above Rescue
A Passion for Second Chances
At Paws Above, our mission is driven by a deep passion for helping dogs in need, providing them with the care and structure they deserve while they await their forever families. We are a dedicated team committed to transforming lives through compassion, expert training, and professional care.
Our Journey and Vision
Founded by Ola Gentle, our rescue is built upon over two decades of professional experience in training and caring for dogs. We began as a specialized training and boarding facility on 100 acres in King City, but our hearts have always been drawn to supporting homeless dogs and those in need of a fresh start.
How We Provide Care
Paws Above operates as a small, foster-based rescue registered as a Canadian charity. We specialize in taking in dogs with medical or behavioral challenges, providing them with a structured, nurturing environment to help them thrive. By utilizing our farmhouse facility—which we have lovingly converted into a cage-free, home-style environment—we ensure every dog receives the supervision and socialization they need to feel safe and happy.
Finding Your Perfect Match
We believe that every adoption is the beginning of a joyful, lifelong partnership. Our focus is on working closely with each dog to address their specific needs, ensuring we understand their unique personality and temperament before they find their new home. We take great pride in our thoughtful matching process, which bridges the gap between a dog's past and their bright future with you.
