The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth is a dedicated leader in animal welfare, committed to promoting the human-animal bond through compassionate care, education, and advocacy. Who We Are
With roots dating back to 1927 in Kitchener and later service in Stratford, we have grown into one of Ontario’s largest animal welfare charities. As a self-funded, registered charity, we rely on the generosity of our community to provide over 40 distinct services that support both homeless and owned pets across Waterloo Region and Perth County.
How We Care
We operate two modern animal centres that serve as hubs of activity and care. Whether through our comfortable cat condos and dog-friendly outdoor spaces in Kitchener, or our state-of-the-art facility in Stratford, we prioritize the health and wellness of every animal in our care. Our approach includes a blend of high-quality veterinary services, foster care support, and community outreach programs designed to keep families and their pets together.
