City of Mississauga Animal Services
Our Mission
Mississauga Animal Services is dedicated to providing compassionate care to homeless and lost animals while promoting responsible pet ownership throughout our community. We believe in creating a safer, more humane environment for the pets and people who share our city.
Why We Are Here
Our organization exists to support the wellbeing of animals in need and to foster a harmonious relationship between pets and their human families. We address vital community needs by offering rescue services, managing pet licensing, and operating an animal shelter dedicated to the health and safety of every companion in our care.
How We Care
We operate a municipal animal shelter that serves as a temporary haven for animals awaiting their permanent homes. Our team provides essential services including veterinary care, spay and neuter support, and daily enrichment to ensure that every animal stays healthy and comfortable during their time with us.
The Joy of Adoption
Adoption is a wonderful journey that brings a new best friend into your life while giving a deserving pet the security of a permanent, loving home. We take great care to ensure a positive match, offering guidance to help you and your new companion transition smoothly into your life together.
Take the Next Step
Whether you are ready to adopt, interested in fostering a pet, or looking to volunteer, we invite you to connect with us today. Please explore our current list of available pets online or visit us at our shelter to meet the animals waiting for their forever families. We are here to help you get started on this rewarding new chapter.
