Toronto Humane Society
Our Mission
At Toronto Humane Society, we are dedicated to our mission of Improving the Lives of Animals and building a more compassionate society for all.
Why We Exist
Beyond being an animal shelter, we act as an essential educational resource and support system for the community. We work tirelessly to prevent unnecessary euthanasia and ensure that animals in need—and the families who love them—receive the expert care and advocacy they deserve.
How We Help
We are a center of excellence, combining industry-leading shelter care with professional veterinary services, training, and behaviour consultations. Our dedicated team uses a blend of shelter-based care, foster support, and community outreach programs to meet animals where they are and provide them with the best possible path to a forever home.
Your Connection
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we are here to ensure every transition is supported by expert knowledge and unyielding optimism. By choosing to adopt, you are becoming part of a community that values the human-animal bond and works to create a safer, kinder future for pets across our region.
Join Our Journey
We invite you to explore our current list of adoptable dogs, cats, and small pets to find your new best friend. Whether you are ready to adopt, interested in fostering, or wish to support our mission through donations, you are helping us change lives every single day.
