The Niagara SPCA and Humane Society is dedicated to delivering innovative programs and compassionate services that enhance the lives of pets in need and the people who care for them. Together, we work every day to enhance lives, inspire compassion, and bring joy to pets and people across our community.
With roots spanning over a century, including the Niagara Falls Humane Society and the Welland & District SPCA, we joined forces in 2021 to better serve the Niagara Peninsula. As a registered non-profit charity, we rely on the support of our community to maintain our facilities and provide essential care for homeless animals awaiting their forever homes.
We operate animal centers in Niagara Falls, Welland, and Port Colborne, serving as a regional hub for animal advocacy and care. Our dedicated team of staff and over 200 volunteers provide thousands of hours of service, ensuring every animal receives the attention and welfare standards they deserve. We also offer critical support services, including low-cost spay-neuter and wellness clinics, to help manage local pet populations and keep families together.
Adoption is a joyful journey, and we believe in fostering the important human-animal bond that enriches us as individuals and families. Our team is committed to making thoughtful matches that ensure a bright future for both the pet and the adopter. Whether you are looking for a lifelong friend or seeking ways to support our mission, we are here to guide you through a positive and transparent experience.
Are you ready to meet your new best friend or get involved? We invite you to explore our current adoptable animals, apply to become a foster, or visit one of our shelter locations to see our work in action. Your journey to making a difference starts here.
