Cascade Canine Rescue East and West (CCREW) is a dedicated 501(c)3 nonprofit based in the Tumalo area of Bend, Oregon, working tirelessly to rescue and rehome dogs and cats from urgent situations and high-kill shelters. We believe every animal deserves a second chance at a loving life, and our mission is to address pet overpopulation through spay/neuter efforts, education, and community advocacy.
Founded to address the critical need for animal welfare support, our team of passionate volunteers focuses on saving lives that might otherwise be lost. We work closely with Pacific Northwest partners and local advocates to rescue animals in need, often from overcrowded facilities in California. By providing essential medical care and finding loving forever homes, we strive to give these animals the bright future they deserve.
Our foster-based model allows our animals to receive the personal care and socialization they need while awaiting their perfect match. Upon rescue, each pet receives a veterinary examination and necessary treatments, including spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping. This thorough care ensures that when an animal joins your family, they are healthy, happy, and ready to thrive.
We take great care in our matching process because we want every adoption to be a successful, lifelong partnership. Our team considers factors like household environment, lifestyle, and individual pet needs to ensure that both the animal and the adopter are set up for success. We are honored to facilitate these connections and witness the joy that a rescued companion brings to a home.
