Oregon Humane
Transforming Compassion into Action
Oregon Humane transforms compassion into action through life-changing programs that support and celebrate the human-animal connection. We are dedicated to creating a world where all animals and humans amplify joy for each other.
Our Legacy of Care
Since 1868, we have been a leader in animal welfare, standing as one of the oldest organizations of our kind in the United States. Over the past 150+ years, our mission has grown to encompass adoption, veterinary care, education, and humane law enforcement, all fueled entirely by the generosity of our donors.
A Dedicated Haven
Operating campuses in both Portland and Salem, we provide a safe, nurturing environment for thousands of animals each year. Our facilities offer comprehensive medical care, behavior support, and specialized programs like our Second Chance initiative, which brings animals from partner shelters throughout the region to find their forever homes with us.
Finding Your Perfect Match
We believe that every adoption is the start of a beautiful partnership, and we are here to support you in finding a pet that fits your unique lifestyle. Our expert team assesses each animal to provide helpful insights, ensuring that your new companion brings lasting happiness to your home. Whether you are looking for a playful pup or a serene cat, we are committed to helping you make a connection that makes life brighter.
Join Our Community
Ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to explore our available animals on our website or visit us in person at our Portland or Salem campuses to experience the joy of adoption firsthand.
