Cat Adoption Team (CAT) is the largest cat shelter in the Pacific Northwest, dedicated to connecting homeless cats and kittens with loving new families. With over 25 years of experience and more than 66,000 adoptions, our mission is to ensure that cats and their people can live happy, healthy lives together.

As a limited-admission, adoption-guarantee shelter, we believe every cat deserves a compassionate outcome. We take in cats based on our capacity to provide excellent care, balancing the needs of our community with our promise to save the lives of all felines in our charge.

A Community-Driven Approach

We believe in the power of partnership. Approximately 80% of our cats come through our Nine Lives Transfer Program, working alongside other shelters and rescues to reduce euthanasia rates across the region. Our care model relies on a blend of our Sherwood shelter facility and a robust network of foster families who provide extra support and socialization to prepare our cats for their forever homes.
