Beaver County Humane Society
Our Mission
The Beaver County Humane Society is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the lives of all domestic animals, promoting kindness and respect for every living creature. We strive to build a community that fosters a humane, sustainable, and compassionate environment for animals in Beaver County and beyond.
Our History and Community
Since 1950, we have faithfully represented the best interests of our region's homeless, neglected, and abused animals. As the only humane animal shelter serving Beaver County and contiguous counties in Ohio and West Virginia, we are proud to provide second chances and happy homes to thousands of pets every year.
Our Approach to Care
We believe every animal deserves a safe, nurturing environment while they wait for their forever families. Operating from our shelter in Center Township, we combine professional care with a dedicated network of volunteers and foster homes to ensure each animal’s needs are met with compassion and integrity. Our team is committed to continuous improvement, ensuring the best possible care for all animals entrusted to us.
Your Adoption Journey
Adoption is a joyful, lifelong commitment, and our team is here to help you find the perfect match for your lifestyle. By completing a pre-adoption application, you allow our counselors to facilitate a thoughtful meet-and-greet, ensuring a relationship that thrives for years to come. Whether in our private rooms or outdoor yards, we focus on making the introduction process a positive experience for both your family and your new companion.
Join Our Community
Whether you are looking to adopt a new family member, volunteer your time, or support our mission through a donation, there are many ways to get involved. We invite you to browse our currently adoptable pets online or visit us to see the wonderful animals waiting for their second chance. Your support saves lives and builds a brighter future for the animals who need us most.
