The Center for Animal Health & Welfare is a life-saving adoption facility dedicated to finding permanent, loving homes for Northampton County's homeless pets. We strive to provide a safe and healthy environment for every animal in our care as they await their new beginning.
Formed in 1913, we have grown from our roots as the Northampton County SPCA into a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. In 2003, we made a dedicated commitment to becoming a no-kill shelter, ensuring that we keep animals in our care for as long as they remain adoptable.
We operate as a community-focused facility supported by an essential network of foster families who provide quiet, calm environments for vulnerable puppies, kittens, and pets who need extra support. Our approach combines shelter-based care with robust community programs, including a community vet clinic that offers affordable spay and neuter services to help reduce pet overpopulation.
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we work hard to facilitate the perfect match between our animals and their forever families. Because we believe in the importance of responsible pet ownership, we focus our efforts on education, health, and finding loving homes for every pet that enters our facility.
There are many ways to get involved, whether you are looking to adopt a new best friend, volunteer your time, or support our mission through donations. We invite you to view our adoptable pets online, visit us at our Easton facility, or reach out to learn more about how you can help us continue our life-saving work. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of the animals who need us most.
