Animal Lifeline Pittsburgh is dedicated to creating solutions for at-risk pets through caring, compassion, and community involvement. We believe every animal deserves the chance to not just survive, but truly thrive.
Established in 2017, our organization began with a few passionate individuals and has grown into a community-focused effort that has helped thousands of animals. Over the years, we have provided over 400,000 lbs of food to our community and local rescue partners, reflecting our deep commitment to animal welfare.
We are a 100% volunteer-run, 501c3 non-profit operating as an entirely foster-based rescue. Because we lack a physical shelter facility, our rescues live in loving homes where they receive personalized care and attention while we learn about their unique personalities. This model allows every dollar donated to go directly toward essential needs like medical care, vaccines, and spay/neuter services.
Our priority is finding the best possible fit for both our dogs and your family. We use a thorough application and home-visit process to ensure each adoption is a safe and happy long-term partnership. While the process takes a little time, our goal is to ensure every pet finds a home where they fit in perfectly.
Whether you are looking to bring a new furry family member home or want to support our mission, there are many ways to get involved. We invite you to view our adoptable pets or check our website for opportunities to foster or donate. Together, we are building a kinder community for pets in need.
