Originally established to provide watering troughs for workhorses, we transitioned into an open-intake facility, and by 2012, made a courageous commitment to become a lifesaving organization. Our promise is simple: no adoptable animal is ever put down. We are dedicated to providing safe haven for pets rescued from overcrowded shelters, those relinquished by their owners, and animals who have suffered from neglect and cruelty. At Providence Animal Center, we offer affordable rescue and adoption services, along with comprehensive medical care, training programs, and community outreach initiatives. Our Pet Accessible Care (PAC) program ensures that all individuals have access to essential services, helping prevent pet overpopulation through various community programs. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we thrive solely on private donations, with an unwavering dedication from our volunteers, staff, and board members. We have a special loyalty toward “bully” breeds and do not discriminate based on breed, believing that every animal deserves a loving forever home.
