Animal Advocates Inc.
Compassion in Action
Animal Advocates is a Pittsburgh-based, volunteer-run organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of companion cats and dogs. Our mission is to provide high-quality care for animals in need, ensuring every cat and dog finds a loving forever home.
Our History and Dedication
Serving the Pittsburgh region since 1984, we have proudly operated as an all-volunteer, no-kill rescue for over 40 years. Our commitment to community-based advocacy and animal welfare has remained the cornerstone of our work since our inception.
Our Care Model
We operate primarily through a network of loving volunteer foster homes, which allows our animals to thrive in a real-world home environment while awaiting adoption. For those cats housed at our headquarters in the West End, our dedicated volunteers provide essential socialization and daily care. Every animal in our program is fully vetted, vaccinated, and socialized.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we strive to make the process as seamless as possible for both pets and families. By caring for our rescues in home environments, we ensure they are well-prepared to transition into your household. We are committed to helping you find the perfect canine or feline companion that fits your life.
