VENANGO COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY
Our Mission
The Venango County Humane Society is dedicated to positively impacting the lives of homeless companion animals through advocacy, education, community awareness, and compassionate care. As your local community shelter, we are driven by the belief that every pet deserves a loving environment.
A Legacy of Compassion
Since our incorporation as a private non-profit organization in 1956, we have spent over 50 years serving our community. We are proud to be a no-kill shelter that has successfully found loving homes for thousands of companion pets over the decades.
How We Care for Animals
Our operations are powered by a team of dedicated, compassionate staff members who work tirelessly to ensure the well-being of the animals in our care. We maintain a local facility and offer essential services, including a low-cost feline spay and neuter clinic. We also engage the community through events like our weekly BINGO nights, which provide critical funding for our medical and shelter programs.
Finding Your New Best Friend
We believe in the joy of creating lifelong partnerships between pets and people. Whether you are looking to adopt or interested in becoming a foster, our team is here to support you in finding the perfect match for your home and lifestyle. We encourage you to visit our website or stop by the shelter to meet the wonderful dogs and cats currently waiting for their second chance.
Get Involved
We invite you to join our efforts by exploring our adoptable pets list or learning more about our volunteer opportunities. By donating, volunteering, or simply spreading the word, you become an essential part of the success stories we celebrate every day. We look forward to welcoming you into our community of animal lovers.
