The New Pike County Humane Society is a dedicated safe haven committed to caring for lost, abandoned, and unwanted animals. We serve as a voice for the voiceless, providing essential veterinary care, shelter, and companionship to every animal that enters our doors.
Located in Shohola, PA, we proudly serve Pike County and the surrounding Northeastern Pennsylvania region. Our team is a passionate group of animal advocates who believe that every pet deserves a second chance at life in a loving, permanent home.
We operate a no-kill shelter where no adoptable animal is ever euthanized due to space, breed, or treatable conditions. Our facility is supplemented by a vital foster network, allowing special needs animals and young litters to receive the individualized love and patience they need to thrive before finding their forever family.
We strive to understand each animal’s unique personality, motivators, and temperament to ensure the best possible match for you and your household. By taking the time to learn their individual likes and dislikes, we create meaningful, lasting partnerships between our rescues and their new families.
We invite you to experience the joy of adoption by viewing our current list of available pets. Please reach out to us by phone or email to schedule an appointment, as we conduct all of our meet and greets with pre-approved applications to ensure a smooth transition for our animals. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!
