Humane Society of Somerset County
Our Mission
At the Humane Society of Somerset County, we are dedicated to providing a safe haven for all strays in our community while working tirelessly to find every animal their forever home.
Our Commitment to Every Pet
We are a team of animal lovers who believe in giving every animal the best care possible during their stay with us. Because we prioritize the welfare of our guests, there is no time limit on an animal’s stay at our shelter.
How We Care for Our Animals
Our shelter operates as a community resource that takes in all strays from Somerset County. When our facility reaches capacity, we rely on a dedicated network of foster families to ensure our pets receive the love and attention they need. This consistent care and socialization help prepare our dogs and cats to be adopted into new, loving homes as quickly as possible.
Finding Your Perfect Match
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we strive to make successful matches that last a lifetime. Our adoption process is designed to ensure that each animal is placed in a safe and loving environment. We work closely with potential adopters, reviewing applications and conducting meet-and-greets, to help you find the pet that is the perfect fit for your family and lifestyle.
