Camp Papillon Animal Shelter is a dedicated non-profit, no-kill organization committed to providing a safe haven for companion animals. We work tirelessly to prevent suffering and ensure every animal in our care receives the love and support they deserve until they find their perfect forever family.
Founded in 2006 as a foster-based network, we have spent years saving hundreds of animals with the incredible support of our community. In 2015, we expanded our mission by purchasing a former church camp in Stroudsburg, transforming it into the beautiful 33-acre campus that serves as our current home for the animals of Monroe County.
We believe that an animal's environment is key to their well-being, which is why we have created an enrichment program that goes beyond basic shelter. Our furry residents enjoy social playgroups, calming music, nature trails, and plenty of outdoor time, ensuring they stay emotionally happy while waiting for their new homes. While we offer a specialized facility for sanctuary and larger dogs, we continue to utilize our foster care program for special needs and hospice animals.
We are deeply committed to making the best possible match between our pets and your family. Our adoption application process helps us understand your unique situation so we can ensure a successful, lifelong partnership. Every pet in our care is fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and provided with all necessary medical treatment because we believe in setting every animal—and every adopter—up for success.
We invite you to experience the difference at Camp Papillon. Whether you are looking to adopt a new family member, volunteer your time, or support our life-saving work, there are many ways to get involved. Please visit our website to view our adoptable pets or join us at an upcoming event.
