Paws Across Pittsburgh KL# 16182
Our Mission
Paws Across Pittsburgh is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming homeless, abused, abandoned, and unwanted dogs and cats. We provide every animal in our care with the second chance they truly deserve.
Our History
Founded in April 2016 by Jackie Armour, our organization was born out of a desire to build a robust network of volunteers capable of saving as many lives as possible. Today, we serve the Pittsburgh region, working tirelessly to strengthen our community impact one pet at a time.
How We Operate
We are a fully foster-based rescue and do not operate a central facility for housing animals. Instead, our dedicated volunteers provide loving, temporary homes where every pet receives proper nutrition, essential socialization, and necessary medical care, including spay/neuter services and vaccinations before adoption.
The Adopter Connection
We believe that finding the perfect match is the key to a lifetime of love. Our adoption process is designed with the animal’s best interest at heart, allowing us to thoughtfully match each dog or cat with the right home and lifestyle. By conducting thorough applications and home visits, we ensure that both the family and the pet are set up for a successful, permanent partnership.
