Peaceable Kingdom
Our Mission
Peaceable Kingdom is a dedicated no-kill shelter committed to providing care, protection, and assistance to animals who are mistreated, injured, abandoned, or otherwise in need. We believe in creating a compassionate community where every pet has the chance to find their forever home.
Our History
Since our founding in 1998, we have grown from a small group of volunteers caring for cats in their own homes into a vital community resource located at 1049 MacArthur Road in Whitehall. Throughout our journey, we have stayed true to our roots by expanding our facility to accommodate more dogs and cats while providing low-cost veterinary services to help minimize animal overpopulation.
How We Help
We operate as a brick-and-mortar shelter, working tirelessly to provide a safe space for animals until they find their perfect match. Our on-site veterinary clinic offers low-cost spay/neuter services and essential care to the public, ensuring that all pet owners have a place to turn for their animals' health needs. We are proud to facilitate between 800 and 1,000 adoptions annually, helping homeless animals embark on a new chapter of their lives.
Your Role in Our Journey
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we are here to support you in finding a companion that fits your life and heart. We believe that thoughtful matching is the foundation of a successful, long-term relationship between you and your new best friend. When you adopt from Peaceable Kingdom, you are not just giving an animal a home; you are joining a mission of compassion and hope.
