Humane Society of Marlboro County
Our Mission
The Humane Society of Marlboro County is dedicated to giving the animals of our community a second chance at a happy, healthy life. We believe that love is a four-legged word and work tirelessly to ensure every animal finds the forever home they deserve.
Why We Are Here
Serving the heart of Marlboro County, we operate the Marlboro County Animal Shelter with the goal of providing safety, medical care, and a pathway to new beginnings for abandoned animals. Our organization exists because we believe every animal deserves a compassionate, stable future, and we are committed to meeting the unique needs of the pets in our care.
How We Help
We provide a comprehensive range of services, including managing the local animal shelter and maintaining a dedicated foster network for animals in need of special care, such as those undergoing heartworm treatment. By working alongside rescue partners and transporting pets across the country, we maximize our impact and save more lives. Our efforts are driven by a diverse, dedicated team of volunteers who provide essential daily care, enrichment, and support for our facility and community programs.
Your Role in Their Journey
Adoption is a joyful, life-changing partnership that transforms the lives of both the pet and their new family. Whether you are browsing our cats during open hours or working with an adoption counselor to meet your perfect canine match, our team is here to support you in finding a lifelong companion. Your decision to adopt doesn't just give one animal a home—it creates space for us to rescue another pet in need.
