Animal Shelter of Florence County
Our Mission
At Florence County Municipal Animal Services, we are dedicated to providing compassionate care and a safe shelter for the homeless and abandoned animals in our community. We work every day to facilitate successful adoptions into loving, forever homes.
Serving Our Community
Since our inception, our focus has been to enhance the lives of both animals and people by fostering a humane, caring environment. We address the needs of our county through education, community outreach, and collaborative partnerships with dedicated rescue organizations.
How We Care
We believe in the power of responsible pet ownership and proactive care. Our shelter serves as a vital resource for our citizens, offering support through initiatives like our Pet Pantry, which ensures pets remain well-fed and with their families during difficult times, and our active Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TVAR) program to humanely manage the community cat population.
The Joy of Adoption
We view every adoption as a meaningful partnership that creates a better future for our animals. By providing compassionate care within our shelter, we strive to prepare each pet for a smooth transition into their new life with you. We are committed to transparency and to helping every animal find the perfect match.
