At the Greenville Humane Society, our mission is to preserve the lives and enhance the well-being of animals. We love and care for each pet as if they were our own, working every day to ensure they receive the medical attention, enrichment, and love they deserve.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we operate entirely on the support of people just like you. We receive no government funding, meaning every life-saving success story is made possible by the generosity of our community partners and individual donors.

Our state-of-the-art Adoption Center, low-cost spay/neuter clinic, and vaccine services demonstrate our commitment to keeping pets healthy and in their homes for life. 10/15 - Please join us Tuesday, October 27th as we remember the pets who have left paw prints on our lives. This year, we will be celebrating the Day of the Dead with a public ofrenda, where members of the public can place a picture or note to their pets who have passed away. We will be honoring them with these altars, and additionally, will be serving hot chocolate and Pan de Muerto for visitors to enjoy. At 4:30pm, we will also have an education story time for children, both in English and Spanish 🧡🕯️ ——— Acompáñenos el martes 27 de octubre para recordar a las mascotas que han dejado huella en nuestras vidas. Este año celebraremos el Día de Muertos con una ofrenda pública, donde los asistentes podrán colocar una fotografía o un mensaje dedicado a sus mascotas fallecidas. Les rendiremos homenaje mediante estos altares y, además, ofreceremos chocolate caliente y pan de muerto para que los visitantes disfruten. 9/22 - Some surrender notes stay with you. Cotton came to us with a note from a child who loved him deeply. A child who had to say goodbye to their best friend while their family faced something no child should have to carry: a loved one battling cancer. They didn’t stop loving Cotton. They loved him enough to let him go. “Always remember Cotten no matter how far you are im always here with you.” “You have helped me through so much in life and I appreciate all of it.” Cotton is a senior now. He doesn’t understand why his family is gone or why they aren’t coming back. But if we could tell that child one thing, it would be: You don’t have to worry. We’ve got him. Cotton is safe.
