Humane Society of Greenwood
Our Mission
Through life-saving strategies, we advocate for every animal in our care, while being a resource to the community. We believe in creating bright futures for every cat and dog that walks through our doors.
Who We Are
The Humane Society of Greenwood is a 501(c)3 non-profit agency dedicated to animal welfare. While we are not affiliated with national organizations like the ASPCA or HSUS, we are proud to be a vital local resource supported by generous donors and our partnership with Greenwood County.
How We Help
Our team of animal care professionals manages the Greenwood County Animal Shelter with a focus on compassion and life-saving care. We provide essential services including low-cost spay and neuter clinics, community education, and a dedicated adoption center where we work to connect pets with their perfect matches.
Your Role in Our Family
When you choose to adopt from us, you aren't just bringing home a pet; you are participating in a compassionate, community-wide effort to ensure every animal is valued. Our staff is here to help you navigate the process, ensuring you find a companion that fits your lifestyle perfectly.
