Our Mission
Cullen's Archangel Rescue, Inc. (CARE) is dedicated to saving lives by providing quality veterinary care, love, and safe shelter to companion pets while educating our communities on the importance of training and responsible pet ownership.
Our History
Founded in 2003 by Tara Haltiwanger, CARE was established in honor of her rescue dog, Cullen. Our work is driven by a deep commitment to giving abandoned animals a second chance and reducing pet overpopulation through education and advocacy.
Our Foster-Based Care
We do not operate a physical shelter. Instead, our rescued pets live in the private homes of our dedicated volunteers, receiving the love and socialization they need until they find their permanent families. This foster-based model allows us to provide personal attention and a safe environment for every animal under our care.
Finding Your Perfect Match
We strive to place each pet in a home that serves as the perfect match for both the animal and the family. By prioritizing thoughtful screening and a thorough application process, we help ensure that these pets, who have often been failed before, can look forward to a secure and happy future.
