Cullen's Archangel RescuE, Inc.
Our Mission
Cullen's Archangel RescuE (CARE) is dedicated to saving lives by providing quality veterinary care, safety, and love to companion pets while educating our communities on the importance of spaying, neutering, and proper animal care.
Our Story
CARE was founded in 2003 in honor of President Tara Haltiwanger’s beloved rescue dog, Cullen. Following his passing in 2001, we established this organization to serve as a voice for animals in need, officially becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2005.
How We Operate
We are a dedicated, volunteer-led, no-kill rescue group operating without a physical shelter. Our animals are cared for in private foster homes across South Carolina and North Carolina, where they receive the nutrition, training, and socialization they need to thrive before finding their permanent families.
A Meaningful Connection
We believe every adoption is a partnership that saves two lives: the pet you bring home and the next animal we can welcome into our care. Our process is designed to ensure the best possible match for both the animal and your family, focusing on long-term happiness and stability for our rescued friends.
