The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach exists to provide care, comfort, and compassion to animals in need while engaging the hearts, hands, and minds of our community. We are dedicated to promoting positive, lifelong relationships between people and their companion animals.
Established on July 1, 2001, our organization was founded by a group of dedicated volunteers who recognized the vital need for a local agency to address the challenge of homeless animals in North Myrtle Beach. Today, we continue to serve as the city’s contracted animal shelter, working tirelessly to save lives and ensure animal wellness through community support and education.
Our facility at 409 Bay Street serves as a hub of compassion, where every animal receives dedicated care, nourishment, and medical attention. Beyond the shelter walls, we believe in supporting the entire pet-family dynamic through our on-site Spay/Neuter and Pet Wellness Clinic. By focusing on accessibility and quality veterinary services, we strive to reduce overpopulation and keep pets happy and healthy in their homes.
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we are here to help you find the right companion to share your life with. Our adoption process is designed with transparency and care, ensuring that every pet is placed in a home where they will be treated with the respect and kindness they deserve. Whether you are seeking a new family member or looking for advice on pet care, our team is committed to making the experience positive for both you and your future pet.
We invite you to be part of our growing community of animal advocates.
