The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach exists to provide care, comfort, and compassion to animals in need while engaging the hearts, hands, and minds of our community. We promote positive relationships between people and animals, ensuring every companion is treated with respect and kindness.
A Legacy of Compassion
Founded on July 1, 2001, by a group of dedicated volunteers, our organization was born out of a clear need to address the welfare of homeless animals in our area. Today, we continue that legacy as a 501(c)3 non-profit, working tirelessly to save lives and end animal suffering.
How We Help
We serve our community through our facility at 409 Bay Street, where we provide shelter, a public spay/neuter and wellness clinic, and essential support services for pet owners. From providing food pantry resources to offering expert guidance on pet care, our team works to keep cherished pets in their homes whenever possible. For those awaiting their forever families, our staff and volunteers provide a nurturing, safe environment where animals are treated like family members.
