Elizabethton Carter County Animal Shelter

Welcome to the Elizabethton Carter County Animal Shelter (ECCAS), located at 135 Sycamore Shoals Drive in picturesque Carter County, Tennessee. Our mission is rooted in compassion and commitment as we strive to improve the health and wellbeing of companion animals throughout the community. At ECCAS, our dedicated staff takes pride in overseeing shelter operations, animal control, and pet adoptions. We understand the profound bond between humans and animals, and our team works tirelessly to ensure that every animal receives the care and attention they deserve during their stay with us. We believe that adopting a pet is not only a gain for the individual but also a life-saving act. We encourage potential adopters to explore the top five reasons to adopt a shelter pet: you'll save a life, receive a healthy pet, save money, experience a boost in your wellbeing, and contribute to ending puppy mills. The shelter is open for visits Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We are closed on Sundays and all Carter County Holidays. If you wish to adopt or simply want to learn more about our adoptable animals, you can visit our Petfinder page or our Facebook page, where we share updates and special adoption events. We urge all community members to join us in our mission to provide shelter and care for abandoned, neglected, and homeless animals. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our furry friends!
