Friends of Campbell County Animals

Our Mission

Our mission is to preserve animal life through sheltering animals in a humane environment, promoting pet adoptions, fostering rescue efforts, and inspiring advocacy. We are here to be a dedicated resource for our community to improve the welfare of all animals, whether they have a home or not.

Our Journey

Formed in October 2012 by Friends of Campbell County, TN Animals (FCCA), our organization was born from a desire to improve the lives of companion animals in our county. Since taking over management of the municipal shelter in 2015, we have worked tirelessly to evolve into a low-kill community, focusing on responsible spay/neuter initiatives and community support programs like our Critter Cupboard food bank.

Our Care Model

We operate the Campbell County Animal Shelter as a safe, humane haven for homeless pets, equipped with canine runs and a feline 'catio.' Our daily work is made possible by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers who provide care, socialization, and medical support to every animal in our facility. By relying on grants, donations, and foster families, we ensure every animal receives the attention they deserve while waiting for their forever home.

Connecting Pets and People

Adoption is the most rewarding way to save a life and gain a new best friend. We take pride in our thoughtful matching process, ensuring that every pet receives preliminary veterinary exams, vaccinations, and spay/neuter services before joining your family. When you adopt, you are not just getting a pet; you are helping us create space for other animals in need and becoming part of our life-saving mission.

Join Our Mission

Ending pet homelessness takes an entire community, and we invite you to be a part of our success stories. Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, or foster, your involvement makes a tangible difference in the lives of local pets. Come visit us at 749 Towe String Road in Jacksboro to meet your future best friend today.
