The Appalachian Highlands Humane Society is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to saving, protecting, and advancing the lives of animals throughout our community. We strive to serve as an active resource for animal welfare, working tirelessly to end cruelty and prevent euthanasia through education and compassionate intervention.

As a 501(c)3 charitable organization, we operate independently without any public, state, or federal government funding. Our life-saving work is made possible entirely through the generosity of our supporters, including grants, private donations, and community partnerships.
