People Promoting Animal Welfare (PPAW) Spay/Neuter Clinic is a 501c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to creating a healthier future for pets across East Tennessee. We believe that by making high-quality, affordable spay and neuter services accessible to every household, we can significantly reduce the number of unwanted animals and ensure every pet has the chance to thrive.
Founded in late 1998, our organization has grown into a community pillar that has sterilized over 130,000 companion animals. We exist to support the community commitment to animal welfare, working tirelessly to provide life-saving services and quality medical care that helps pets enter their forever homes healthy and happy.
Operating as a specialized clinic, our team of dedicated veterinarians and animal care professionals provides surgical, vaccination, and wellness services at our facility in Lenoir City. We are proud to partner with local rescues and shelters to provide specialized care, including heartworm treatment, dentals, and mass removals. Additionally, our Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) program offers no-cost services for unowned community cats, ensuring that even the most vulnerable members of our feline population receive compassionate care.
We believe that every animal deserves a loving environment, and our work is centered on the belief that a well-cared-for pet is a joy to its family. By prioritizing health, preventative care, and population control, we help set the stage for successful, long-term bonds between pets and their human companions. When you choose to support PPAW, you are investing in the health and well-being of the pets that make our community complete.
We invite you to see the difference our services can make. Whether you are looking to book an appointment, learn more about our ongoing community projects, or browse our available pets, we are here to help.
