Our mission is to provide for and continuously improve the health, happiness, and fortunes of the homeless and abandoned cats and dogs in Monroe County. We are a community united in compassion, where every companion animal is given an opportunity for a better life.
Founded in 2004 by concerned citizens, Monroe County Friends of Animals (MCFA) was born from a dire need for animal welfare services in our region. Today, we are proud to operate the Eastbourne Animal Center, a facility dedicated to providing a safe haven for animals in need until they find their forever families.
We believe in the power of community, utilizing a blend of shelter care and a dedicated foster network to ensure every animal receives the love they deserve. Our team provides food, medical care, and enrichment, while our foster parents offer a safe home environment where shy or vulnerable pets can blossom. Our core values of compassion, integrity, and collaboration guide every decision we make for the animals in our care.
We are committed to helping you find the perfect match for your home and lifestyle. Whether you are looking for an active dog or a cozy cat, our team is here to support you throughout the adoption process. We view adoption as a joyful, lifelong partnership that enriches the lives of both the animal and their new family.
You can make a difference today by exploring our adoptable pets online or visiting us at the Eastbourne Animal Center. We invite you to join our community of volunteers, foster parents, and supporters who work tirelessly to change lives. Together, we can continue to give these deserving animals the second chances they truly deserve.
