Welcome to the Union County Humane Society (UCHS), a dedicated non-profit organization established in 1996 to champion the welfare of animals in our community. Situated in Maynardville, TN, we operate as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization with a mission rooted in the prevention of cruelty to animals and the promotion of humane education. At UCHS, we believe in the importance of reducing the number of homeless pets through effective re-homing programs and pet sterilization initiatives. Our team is committed to providing shelter, humane care, and necessary medical treatment for animals in need, while also striving for the successful return of lost pets to their families. We are open Monday through Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM, welcoming visitors who are interested in adopting a pet or learning more about our services. Adoption visits are tailored to ensure a personal touch with our animals, and we encourage potential adopters to make appointments to allow for an uninterrupted meet-and-greet experience. In addition to our adoption services, UCHS offers clinical services and pet care education, fostering a responsible pet ownership culture within our community. We work tirelessly to uphold and support the enforcement of animal protection laws, ensuring a safer environment for all pets.
