Our Mission
Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary provides a loving home, nutritious food, high-quality veterinary care, and deep compassion to senior dogs for the remainder of their lives. We believe that every aging dog deserves comfort and the warmth of a family.
The Old Friends Story
Founded in 2012, our organization began when we recognized the urgent need for a dedicated sanctuary for senior dogs who often face limited placement options in the traditional shelter system due to their medical needs. Today, we are proud to provide a safe, welcoming haven for hundreds of seniors who need us most.
How We Provide Care
Our operations center around the PAWvillions, a state-of-the-art 20,000-square-foot facility opened in 2021, situated on nine beautiful acres near Mount Juliet, Tennessee. This space features communal living, a specialized veterinary clinic, and outdoor trails, ensuring every resident experiences a life filled with nature and comfort. Beyond our sanctuary, we manage a vital Forever Foster Home network, placing seniors in loving homes where they can thrive as cherished family members.

We believe in the power of connection and the joy of matching senior dogs with dedicated Geezer Guardians. Because we prioritize lifelong care, we support our fosters with ongoing veterinary services, medications, and prescription support to ensure both you and your companion have the best possible experience. We work closely with each household to ensure our seniors receive the time, attention, and environment they truly deserve.
