Welcome to the Sevier Animal Care Center, where we are dedicated to being an unwavering voice for companion animals and a devoted ally to the humans who care for them. Our mission is to create innovative solutions that prevent pet homelessness, alleviate suffering, and foster a supportive community for all. As a non-profit government-run animal shelter located in Sevierville, Tennessee, we serve the animal control needs of Sevier County, including Sevierville, Pittman Center, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg. Our core values of transparency, adaptability, and community guide our efforts to ensure that every animal has a chance for a loving home. At Sevier Animal Care Center, we believe that every pet deserves a family. Our adoption policy is centered around finding the right match between pets and families, focusing on personality compatibility rather than a strict set of rules. We strive to make the adoption process as seamless as possible, starting with a simple questionnaire to help identify what you're looking for in a companion animal. Once you've completed the questionnaire, our friendly adoption counselors will assist you in meeting various animals until you find the one that captures your heart. After you fall in love, a small fee is required to help cover part of our medical costs, with the goal of making pet adoption accessible to all. We encourage our community's support through adoption, volunteering, fostering, donations, and advocacy. Our shelter operates Monday through Saturday from 1 PM to 5 PM and is closed on Wednesdays and Sundays.
