Humphreys County Humane Society
Our Mission
The Humphreys County Humane Society is dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned, abused, neglected, and lost animals throughout our community. We work passionately to ensure every dog and cat finds a path to a safe, loving, and forever home.
Who We Are
Based in Waverly, Tennessee, we serve as a vital non-profit organization focused on protecting the welfare of local pets. By working directly with the Waverly Animal Shelter, we provide a no-kill environment that saves hundreds of cats and dogs every year who might otherwise face euthanasia.
How We Help
Our work is powered by the generous support of animal lovers who donate their time, resources, and care. We operate a shelter facility where our staff and volunteers provide essential attention, socialization, and comfort to our residents while they wait for their new families. Through our S.N.A.P. program, we also assist income-qualified families with spaying and neutering services to support responsible pet ownership across our county.
Your Future Best Friend
Choosing to adopt means you are providing a second chance to an animal with a unique personality and a big heart. Whether you are looking for a playful cat or a loyal dog, our team is committed to helping you find the perfect match for your lifestyle. Adopting is a rewarding journey that builds a lifelong bond between you and a grateful companion.
