Amarillo SPCA
A Legacy of Compassion
Our mission is to provide for the well-being of and defend the rights of abandoned, abused, or neglected dogs and cats in the Amarillo area through sheltering, fostering, education, and advocacy efforts. We believe that every being deserves a safe and loving home for their entire life.
Serving Our Community Since 1988
The Amarillo Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the animals of our community. We are not affiliated with the national SPCA and operate entirely through the generosity of our neighbors, relying on donations of goods, cash, and volunteer time to keep our doors open.
Our Commitment to Care
As a proud no-kill shelter, we provide a safe sanctuary for about 100 dogs and 40 cats at any given time. Our animals stay with us until they find their perfect forever families, and we utilize a dedicated foster network to support kittens, puppies, and those with specific medical needs. We are also passionate advocates for spay and neuter programs, ensuring all our adopted animals are sterilized to help address overpopulation in our region.
