Sandra Sue Benson Animal Adoption Center (SPCA San Pat County)
Our Mission
The SPCA of San Patricio County is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping the stray and homeless animal population in our community. We believe every animal deserves a chance to find a loving, forever home.
A Commitment to Life
We are proud to be the only no-kill animal shelter in San Patricio County. Our work is driven by a profound commitment to providing safety and care for the animals that need us most until they find the families they deserve.
How We Care for Our Animals
Our shelter in Aransas Pass is a home-away-from-home where rescued dogs and cats await their new beginnings. Beyond our facility, our active foster program plays a vital role by providing temporary, loving environments that help our animals acclimate to home life while freeing up space for others in need. We ensure our foster parents are supported with food and necessary medicine throughout the process.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
Adoption is a wonderful journey, and we are here to help you make a lifelong match. Whether you are browsing our animals online or visiting us in person, our goal is to connect you with a pet whose personality and needs align with your lifestyle. It is a joy for us to witness the moment a rescued animal finds their place in a new family.
Visit Us and Get Involved
We invite you to come meet our current residents at our shelter, open to the public every day except Wednesday and holidays, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. If you are ready to expand your family, please complete our adoption application online. Whether you choose to adopt, volunteer, or support our mission through donations, you are helping us change lives every day.
