At Charming Pet Rescue, we rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abandoned dogs and cats, ensuring every pet finds their own happily ever after. We focus on family-friendly animals, particularly those at risk in overcrowded shelters, helping them become the beloved companions they were always meant to be.
A Legacy of Compassion
Founded in 2015 by Hilary Woodworth, our organization began in a family home and has grown into a vital community resource serving Boerne and San Antonio. Over the past decade, our dedicated team of staff, volunteers, and foster families has successfully rehomed thousands of animals, steadily increasing our impact every single year.
Our Care Model
We operate as a safe haven, utilizing both a comfortable, climate-controlled facility and a network of loving foster homes. By maintaining a balance where some pets stay on-site while others thrive in foster care, we ensure every animal receives the attention and socialization they need to flourish.

10/8 - 🐾💕 Meet Pumpkin & 10W-40 — The Tiniest Dynamic Duo! 🐾💕 What happens when a tiny Chihuahua mix and a tiny orange kitten become best friends? PURE CUTENESS! 😍🐶🐱 🎃 Pumpkin is a 3-month-old Chihuahua mix who may be tiny, but her personality is anything but! At just 4 pounds, this little princess is playful, cuddly, and completely convinced she runs the show. 👑😂 🔧 10W-40 is a 6-week-old orange kitten who was found after popping out from underneath a car—and apparently decided a dog was the perfect ride home! 🚗🐱 He’s curious, outgoing, fearless, and absolutely LOVES his puppy friend. These two have become the sweetest little playmates and absolutely love playing together! 🥹💕 Whether they’re chasing, wrestling, or just hanging out, they make an adorable pair. Both Pumpkin and 10W-40 are available for adoption!
