The Corinne T. Smith Animal Center is dedicated to promoting the welfare, compassionate care, and protection of animals in our community. We strive to find suitable homes for adoptable animals while raising public awareness of animal issues and promoting responsible pet ownership.
Our work is guided by core values of compassion, honesty, and integrity in every decision we make. We believe that staff and volunteers are our most vital resource in creating a better environment for the homeless pets in our care. Our primary goal is to ensure every dog and cat in our facility finds their way into a loving, permanent home.
Our shelter serves as a safe harbor for pets in need, providing essential food, medical care, and shelter. We rely on a dedicated team to care for about 100 animals at a time, and we are working hard to expand our foster network to provide more personalized care for animals needing a temporary home environment. Every animal adopted through our center receives basic spay or neuter services, vaccinations, and a microchip to ensure their long-term safety and well-being.
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we are here to help you find the right match for your family. Whether you are interested in our senior pet program or seeking a new best friend, we invite you to come meet the animals currently awaiting their second chance. Our staff and volunteers are dedicated to supporting you through the adoption process, ensuring a smooth transition for both you and your new pet.
We invite you to make a difference in the lives of local pets by visiting us at 3016 Milam Drive or browsing our current list of adoptable animals online. Whether you choose to adopt, volunteer, or support our programs, you are helping us save lives. Reach out to us today to learn more about how you can become part of our mission.
