Operation Kindness is dedicated to creating a kinder world for pets and the people who love them by providing lifesaving care, innovative programs, and vital community resources. We believe that every animal deserves an excellent quality of life in a loving home.
Since our founding by a group of passionate volunteers in 1976, we have remained committed to providing medical care, food, and shelter to homeless animals. From our early days operating out of volunteers' homes to our current 4.5-acre facility in Carrollton, our goal has always been simple: show homeless pets the kindness they deserve.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we operate a lifesaving animal shelter and an on-site animal hospital, the Rees-Jones Foundation Medical Wing, to treat approximately 100 homeless animals daily. Our comprehensive programs include foster care, a neonatal kitten nursery, and community initiatives like our Pet Food Pantry and affordable veterinary clinics, all designed to assist people and their pets.
When you adopt from Operation Kindness, you are not only saving a life but also creating space for another animal in need. We are proud of our transparent, first-come, first-served adoption process, which ensures that pets are paired with the perfect family as quickly as possible. Every adoption includes spay/neuter surgery, core vaccinations, and a microchip to set you and your new pet up for success.
There is no place else like Operation Kindness, and we invite you to experience our vibrant, hopeful shelter for yourself. Whether you are ready to meet your new furry family member or want to get involved through volunteering, we hope you will join us in our mission.
