City of Corpus Christi Animal Care
Our Mission
Animal Care Services is dedicated to advocating for the humane care of animals while promoting responsible pet ownership. We work daily to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the pets and residents in our community.
Why We Are Here
We serve as a vital resource for Corpus Christi, addressing the needs of our local animal population through proactive services and community outreach. By providing support for everything from low-cost spay and neuter resources to essential microchipping, we strive to create a safer environment for every pet.
How We Care
Our shelter operates as a central hub of activity where dedicated staff and volunteers work together to ensure the well-being of our animals. We rely on a compassionate foster network to provide temporary homes for pets in need, ensuring all necessary supplies are covered for those who open their hearts to foster.
Building Connections
Adopting a pet is a transformative experience that brings joy to both the animal and the family. We focus on transparency and education, such as our 3-3-3 rule, to help you feel confident and prepared during the transition of bringing a new companion home. We believe every adoptable animal deserves a loving, forever family.
Get Involved
You can make a significant difference in the lives of our shelter animals today. We invite you to visit our facility at 2626 Holly Road to meet your future best friend, or explore our website to learn more about our foster and volunteer opportunities. Together, we can provide the loving home every animal deserves.
