Humane Society of Dallas
Our Mission
The Humane Society of Dallas County is dedicated to promoting animal adoption and providing a safe, healthy, and compassionate environment for the cats and dogs of Dallas County for as long as they need us. We believe every animal deserves a home, and our work is centered on making that dream a reality.
Our Journey
For over 40 years, our passion and drive have remained the motivational force behind our work in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. From our humble beginnings as a home-based cat rescue, we have grown into a dedicated no-kill shelter, continuing our legacy of service to the community.
How We Care
At the heart of our mission is our commitment to a no-kill promise, ensuring every pet receives medical care and love until they find their forever home. We operate the Dog & Kitty City Animal Sanctuary, where our staff and volunteers work tirelessly to provide a safe, nurturing environment. Our comprehensive approach includes spaying or neutering all animals, performing essential health screenings, and providing necessary vaccinations.
Your Partner in Adoption
Choosing adoption is a life-changing decision that brings unconditional love and affection into your home. Every animal has a unique story, and our team is here to help you find the perfect companion to match your lifestyle. We believe that thoughtful matching creates a lasting bond, turning every adoption into a joyful, lifelong partnership.
