10/23 - ✨🐾 GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE… MISSING SOCKS?! 🧦😂❤️ Once upon a time, not so very long ago, there was a beautiful girl named Goldilocks. She had gorgeous tiger-striped fur in shades of red and cream, a heart full of love, and approximately 47 butterflies fluttering around inside her brain. 🦋 And like most fairy-tale princesses, Goldilocks had a rather unusual beginning to her story. You see, Goldilocks and her friend Peter Pan were found hanging around an abandoned house near a very busy road. A concerned citizen called Animal Control, worried about their safety. And when our officer arrived? GOLDILOCKS JUMPED RIGHT INTO THE TRUCK.😂 No chasing. No convincing. No dramatic rescue scene. Just a happy little girl who seemed to be saying, "OH GOOD! My ride is here! Thank you for coming to get us!" And honestly, that pretty much sums up Goldilocks. This girl has never met a stranger, a bad day, or a situation she couldn't improve with a little enthusiasm. ❤️ Goldilocks is one of those dogs who makes you smile just by existing. She's happy-go-lucky, wonderfully silly, ridiculously sweet, and just a little bit convinced that life is one giant adventure created specifically for her enjoyment. Her foster family has had the absolute pleasure of getting to know this little fairy-tale character, and let me tell you… SHE KEEPS THEM ENTERTAINED! 😂 Goldilocks LOVES other dogs. And we mean LOVES them! Big personalities, little personalities, she's just happy to have friends. She's wonderful with children. She walks beautifully on a leash. She's a fantastic companion to take out in public. And TOYS?! Oh, Goldilocks thinks toys are one of humanity's greatest inventions. But we do need to disclose one teeny, tiny character flaw. SHE STEALS SOCKS. 🧦 Not diamonds. Not the family silver. SOCKS. Somewhere in that beautiful butterfly-filled brain, Goldilocks has decided that socks are treasures worthy of collecting. So if you adopt her, you may need to start checking under the couch for your missing laundry. 😂 But here's where this story gets really sweet. For all her silliness, all her adventures, and all her happy little antics, Goldilocks has another side. This girl absolutely LOVES to be held tightly in a hug. 🥹❤️ Not just a quick pat on the head. Not a little scratch behind the ears. She wants you to wrap your arms around her, hold her close, and give her the kind of snuggles that make the rest of the world disappear for a minute. And she'll happily stay right there, soaking up every bit of love you're willing to give. Can you imagine? A dog who will make you laugh until your cheeks hurt, go on adventures with you, make friends everywhere she goes, and then come home and melt into your arms? THAT'S GOLDILOCKS. ❤️ And unlike the fairy tale, you don't have to try three different dogs to find the one that's just right. We think she's already waiting for you. ✨ A little more about our Goldilocks girl: 🐾 Approximately 3 years old 🐾 55 pounds of red-and-cream, tiger-striped beauty 🐾 Spayed and vaccinated 🐾 Heartworm NEGATIVE! 🐾 Super dog-friendly 🐾 Wonderful with kids 🐾 Great leash walker and public outing companion 🐾 Loves toys and big hugs 🐾 Occasional sock thief (we believe she's innocent until proven guilty 😉) Goldilocks has been given a wonderful opportunity to thrive in a foster home, and her family has shown us just how special she really is. Now we need to find the people who will love her for the rest of her life. People who won't mind a little silliness. People who appreciate a dog who finds joy in absolutely everything. People who understand that sometimes the greatest treasures in life aren't gold, diamonds, or fancy things. Sometimes they're a goofy 55-pound dog who steals your socks and gives you her whole heart in return. 🥹❤️ Goldilocks is ready for adoption through Bayou Animal Services! Please share her story and help us find the family who will give this sweet girl the fairy-tale ending she deserves. Because every fairy tale deserves a happily ever after… and Goldilocks' should come with a forever family, unlimited hugs, and maybe a few extra pairs of socks. 🧦🏡❤️ Apply for our fairytale princess here... https://www.bayouanimalservices.org/adoptable-dogs#sl_embed&page=shelterluv_wrap_1653581330397%2Fembed%2Fanimal%2FBAS-A-135395 📍 Bayou Animal Services 3100 Deats Road, Dickinson, TX 77539 #AdoptGoldilocks #BayouAnimalServices #FosterSavesLives #AdoptDontShop #HappilyEverAfter

10/21 - ❤️🐾 SHE LED US TO HER BABY. NOW HE NEEDS SOMEONE TO LEAD HIM HOME. A few weeks ago, our Animal Control Officers spotted a beautiful blonde shepherd wandering near Bayou Animal Services. We tried everything we could to catch her. But she wasn't having it. She kept her distance, and despite our best efforts, we couldn't get close enough to bring her to safety. About a week later, we spotted her again. This time, something was different. We followed her into the woods, and what we discovered stopped us in our tracks. There, hidden away in a little den, was a baby puppy. All alone. She had led us straight to her son. ❤️ He was absolutely terrified. He didn't know we were there to help him. All he knew was that strangers had suddenly appeared at the only place he knew as home. It took a team of us working together to safely get that frightened little boy out of his den. And once we got him back to the shelter, we realized just how badly he needed us. His tiny ears were covered in ticks. His little belly was swollen from parasites. He needed medical care, a safe place to sleep, and most importantly, someone to show him that people could be kind. So that's exactly what we gave him. We started getting him cleaned up, treated, and vaccinated. Then we made a call to one of our trusted foster families. They came and picked him up that very same day. ❤️ And that, my friends, is where this little boy's life began to change. His foster mom named him **Buddy**. And Buddy? Well, Buddy decided this whole being-loved thing was pretty wonderful. The puppy who once hid terrified in a hole in the woods is now a happy, affectionate little boy who absolutely ADORES his foster family. He's crate trained. He's house trained. He gets along beautifully with the dogs AND cats in his foster home. He loves the kids. And his foster mom? Oh, that woman hung the moon as far as Buddy is concerned. 🥹❤️ Which brings us to the video we're sharing today. This is Buddy seeing his foster mom come home from work. Watch him in his crate. Watch that little body wiggle with excitement. Watch how happy he is just knowing she's home. And then remember where we found him. Alone. Scared. Hiding in the woods. That's what love, patience, and a foster home can do. And there's one more part of this story we have to tell you. Remember that beautiful blonde shepherd who led us to Buddy? LAST WEEK, WE FINALLY CAUGHT HIS MOMMA! ❤️🐾 She's safe at Bayou Animal Services now, taking some much-needed time to decompress. After everything, both momma and baby are finally safe. But Buddy's story isn't finished yet. Because as wonderful as his foster home has been, there's still something this little boy is waiting for. A family of his very own. Someone who will come home from work and be greeted like they're the greatest thing in the world. Someone who will laugh at his puppy antics, snuggle him on the couch, and watch him grow into the wonderful dog he's already becoming. Someone who will love him for the rest of his life. Buddy's momma led us to him when he needed help. His foster family showed him what love feels like. Now we're hoping YOU can help lead him to his forever home. ❤️ Buddy is ready for adoption through Bayou Animal Services, and we would love nothing more than to see this sweet boy find his happily ever after. Please share his story. Share his video. Help us find the family who will love him as much as he already knows how to love. Because somewhere out there is someone who has no idea that a little puppy named Buddy is about to become their whole world. And just wait until they see how happy he is when they come home. 🥹❤️🐾 Apply to Adopt Buddy Here https://www.bayouanimalservices.org/adoptable-dogs#sl_embed&page=shelterluv_wrap_1653581330397%2Fembed%2Fanimal%2FBAS-A-136019 #AdoptDontShop #bayouanimalservices #FosterSavesLives #rescuedog #everykennelhasastory
