Three Little Pitties Rescue is relentlessly committed to pets and their people. We work to save lives through innovative outreach, adoption, transport, and community programs that connect rescued animals with loving, forever homes.
Our Story
Founded in 2018 by Alayna Matranga Goodson, our organization began with a simple desire to help homeless animals in Houston. Since then, we have grown from a small effort into a nationwide movement that has saved over 23,000 lives by bringing together people with diverse gifts, talents, and a shared dedication to animal welfare.
How We Operate
We are a foster-based rescue that believes every animal deserves a soft place to land. Our dedicated teams provide comprehensive support, including in-house medical care, individualized behavior training, and enrichment, to ensure every pet is ready for their next chapter. Whether in a local Houston foster home or waiting for transport to their new family, our animals receive the care and preparation they need to thrive.

10/10 - The progress is slow, but it’s real—healing takes time. And for Mama Lauren and her 8 babies, every small improvement is win. ❤️ When they came to us, this family was suffering from painful mange and needed immediate care. Their skin still has a long way to go, but little by little, they’re becoming more comfortable. 10/4 - Two tiny babies. Abandoned and covered in fleas before their lives had barely begun. 💔 They needed someone to say, “You’re coming with us.” Our fosters and Pit Crew members made that yes possible. 10/4 - They’re just babies. Their skin shouldn’t hurt this much. 💔 Today, all eight puppies got a medicated bath. Their skin is still so painful, but somehow, these little ones are in good spirits. We’re giving them gentle care as we help their bodies heal. Mama is hanging in there, caring for her babies while she needs care herself. For now, we’re calling her Lauren. Her puppies don’t have names yet, but they already have people fighting for them. ❤️🩹 This family of nine has weeks of treatment ahead. 10/3 - Our PNW fosters have been busy, and the reports are in. Meet eight sweethearts hoping for a soft place to land: 🍭 Jolly Rancher Candy and Lolli Pop Candy: 1½-year-old kitty siblings who'd love to go home together. 10/2 - Houston, please… someone help us. ❤️🩹 These two tiny dogs were found left in a kennel on the side of the road in Alvin, Texas. A Good Samaritan stopped to help them and reached out to us. Of course we said yes. But we have one problem……We have nowhere to put them. Our boarding in Friendswood is completely full, and we desperately need someone to step up and foster. Even if you can’t foster these two, taking ONE dog from our boarding facility opens a spot for them. Please. Take a dog home. Give them a couch. Rescue doesn’t stop just because we’re full and we will not turn them away. Houston, will someone please help us make room?

10/2 - They’re here. ❤️🩹 Mama and all 8 of her babies are being unloaded at our rescue right now and heading into our Mutternity Suites. And y’all… we haven’t seen an entire family in this bad of shape in a long time. Their little bodies are covered in mange, and we’re just beginning to understand all the care they’ll need. For nine lives, the cost of high-quality food, supplements, medications, frequent baths, and medical care adds up fast. We said yes. 10/2 - Did you know a sploot can fix just about anything? Ernie Sploots for You, a 3-year-10-month-old chocolate Lab/Staffy mix, certainly thinks so. Walking across the yard? Sploot. Halfway through deciding what to do next? Sploot. When he's not flat on the ground, Ernie is parading a giant stuffie around like a priceless treasure. He's potty and crate trained, great on leash, gentle with kids, and a playful pal to the two big dogs in his foster home. Then the zoomies end and it's instant cuddle mode.
