The Humane Society and Adoption Center of Rockport-Fulton is dedicated to the humane treatment of companion animals. We envision a community where every pet finds a permanent and compassionate home.
Our History and Our Home
Established in 1988 in a small storefront, we have grown into our current 3.5-acre location, affectionately known as the House of Hope. Constructed in 2013, this coastal facility is designed to provide an exceptional environment for animals awaiting their forever families.
How We Care
Our facility is a unique space featuring 15 fenced yards for dogs to run freely and three cattery rooms connected to screened porches. With a dedicated small staff and a team of passionate volunteers, we provide medical care, nutrition, and socialization to the lost and abandoned animals in our community.

Max is hard at work helping our receptionist… or at least that’s what he wants you to think! 🤣 In reality, this 5-year-old goofball is just sprawled out on the cold concrete floor, living his absolute best life. 🧊🐶 Max is full of personality, loves playing with toys, and has a VERY special love for his toy walrus. 🦭❤️ He’s guaranteed to keep you laughing with his silly antics and goofy charm! Now all this hardworking boy needs is a forever home where he can stretch out, play with his favorite toys, and be someone’s very best friend. 🏡💕 Come meet Max at the Humane Society and see for yourself why this funny guy is so lovable!

9/25 - 🐾💗 MEET DANIELLE! 💗🐾 Danielle is a beautiful Shepherd mix who is around 2 years old, and this girl is ready to find her forever family! 🏡✨ Danielle is fiercely loyal, incredibly loving, and one of the sweetest dogs you could ever meet. She is the kind of dog who seems to have never met a stranger in her life—she’s just happy to be wherever the people are! 🥰 She loves to play with other dogs, enjoys making friends, and has such a kind, gentle personality. 9/19 - POV: You’re a Humane Society volunteer getting your weekly serotonin dose. 🥹💗🐾 You came in thinking you’d just walk a few dogs… and suddenly you’re cuddling dogs, loving on rabbits, hanging out with tortoises, and basically becoming everyone’s favorite person. 😂 This is just a tiny peek into what volunteering at our shelter is like! 🐶🐰🐢❤️ The cuddles are plentiful, the personalities are BIG, and the serotonin is basically guaranteed. 😉 Come spend some time with us and see for yourself! 9/18 - 🎤 MORRIS HERE, REPORTING LIVE FROM THE HUMANE SOCIETY! 🐶🎙️ I have an important announcement to make. Some of us dogs are just… ONLY CHILD MATERIAL. 😂 You know the type. We love our people. We love attention. We love treats. We love being the center of your universe. But when it comes to sharing our home with another dog… well… let’s just say we prefer to be the sole recipient of the belly rubs. 😏 So, allow me to introduce you to the members of the “I’d Like to Be Your One and Only” Club: 🐾 Morris — yours truly! Obviously, I deserve all the attention. 🐾 Hendrix — handsome, lovable, and perfectly happy being your one-and-only. 🐾 Ruby — sweet girl who would really like to have her humans all to herself. 🐾 Sarah Lee — a gentle soul who would love a home where she doesn’t have to share her people with another dog. Being an only child isn’t a bad thing!
