Ana's Safe Haven Rescue
Our Mission
Ana's Safe Haven Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to saving lives and providing a second chance to animals in need. We believe that every dog deserves a wonderful life and a loving forever home.
The Story Behind Our Haven
Founded by Ana Tamez in 2018, our rescue was born from a desire to address the critical need for help in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. After years of volunteering and fostering, Ana saw the urgent need to support animals left to face the streets alone and established this haven to make a lasting difference in our community.
Our Compassionate Care Model
We are a foster-based rescue, operating with a network of dedicated families across Texas who provide a temporary, safe environment for our animals. Every dog in our care receives comprehensive medical attention, including a health check-up, vaccinations, microchipping, and spay/neuter surgery, ensuring they are healthy and ready to join their new families.
A Thoughtful Adoption Partnership
We believe in the importance of finding the perfect match between our rescue dogs and their new owners. Our careful, transparent application process ensures that we place our animals in environments compatible with their unique needs, creating a positive and lasting experience for both the pet and the adopter.
