Handfuls on Purpose / HOPE
Our Mission
Handfuls On Purpose Enterprises (H.O.P.E. Rescue Center) is a dedicated no-kill animal shelter committed to the rescue and placement of companion animals. Our mission is to promote animal welfare and provide a safe, loving environment for every pet that comes through our doors.
Our Story
The name Handfuls On Purpose is inspired by the biblical story of Ruth, where a landowner intentionally provided for those in need by leaving wheat in his fields. Since we opened our doors in 2008, we have embraced this spirit of generous support to provide refuge for animals in both good and difficult situations.
Providing Excellence in Care
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that receives no government funding, we rely entirely on the kindness of donors and the support of our community. Every animal in our care receives comprehensive veterinary attention, including necessary medical tests, vaccinations, and spay/neuter procedures. By ensuring our pets are healthy and happy, we aim to provide you with a companion who is ready to become a cherished member of your family.
The Forever Partnership
We believe that adopting a pet is a lifetime commitment. We are looking for families who understand that a rescue animal is a forever companion, regardless of life’s changes. We take pride in our thoughtful placement process, ensuring that every pet finds a home where they will be loved and valued for their entire life.
