Welcome to the City of Highland Village Animal Shelter, where we are committed to the welfare of animals in our community. As a dedicated unit of the Police Department, our Animal Care Services team enforces city ordinances and state laws pertaining to animal care, providing a safe environment for both pets and residents.
Our Animal Care Unit is staffed by a highly trained Senior Animal Care Officer, certified by the Texas Department of State Health Services. This officer is dedicated to addressing various animal-related issues, including stray and vicious animals, nuisance complaints, and incidents of cruelty or neglect. We believe in promoting responsible pet guardianship through education, mediation, and enforcement, helping ensure that all pets and their guardians can coexist harmoniously.
The Highland Village Animal Shelter runs with a mission centered on the health and safety of animals, as well as our community. We operate Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and we encourage those interested in adopting a pet to schedule an appointment. Our facilities are located conveniently behind the Animal Medical Center of Highland Village, making it easy for you to visit us and meet our wonderful pets ready for adoption.
We value community involvement and encourage citizens to report animal-related issues or concerns to our team. Adopt a shelter pet today and be a part of our mission to provide loving homes for all animals in need.
